Making Your Successes Last

Making Your Successes Last
As women, parents, and carers, our lives are filled with countless moments of joy, triumph, and personal growth. However, these intangible experiences can often feel fleeting and hard to grasp. In a world that thrives on visual evidence and tangible proof, finding ways to capture and celebrate these moments is essential. By making our memories and achievements more concrete, we not only honour our journeys but also share our stories with those around us. Here are some creative and meaningful ways to bring your successes to life.
Capture Your Achievements with a Success Jar
If you’re anything like me, and need to “see” an idea to truly appreciate it, start by creating a success jar. Every time you accomplish something, drop a bead or stone into the jar. You can use different colours or types of stones to represent various achievements. Place the jar somewhere visible so you can see and celebrate your progress daily. The great thing about this is that it’s personal to you, to others (unless you want to share with them) it could just look like a decorative item.
Wearable Reminders of Your Success
For a portable reminder of your accomplishments, consider making a bracelet or necklace. Each bead or charm can symbolise a different success. Wearing it will remind you of your achievements and motivate you throughout your day. If you need a little boost you can run your finger along the stones and remember what led you to create the piece.
Memory Cushions: Hug Your Loved Ones’ Memories
Turn old clothes into a memory cushion. These clothes could be yours or from loved ones who you want to feel close to. Sewing a cushion from these fabrics allows you to hold on to those precious memories and feel a sense of connection whenever you need a hug. Again, making a smaller version might mean it’s portable, or you could make a super mini key ring version. You could keep it in your car so it’s there to greet you when you’ve finished work for the day.
Create a Success Wall
Designate a wall in your home as your “success wall.” Use it to display your achievements, whether they’re photos, certificates, or personal notes. Updating this wall regularly will remind you of your ongoing journey and encourage you to try new things. If it’s been a while since you added something new, consider it a nudge to step out of your comfort zone and embark on a new adventure. This is great for families, where everyone can join in, pictures on the fridge are not just for the kids!
Embrace and Celebrate Your Journey
Documenting life in these tangible ways not only helps us cherish our own experiences, but also allows us to share them with others. By celebrating our successes, big or small, we inspire those around us and create a ripple effect of positivity and achievement.
Are you ready to make your intangible successes tangible? Start today by choosing one of these ideas, or coming up with your own, and bring your achievements to life. Share your journey with others and encourage them to celebrate their own milestones.
I’d love to hear about your creative ways of celebrating successes. Share your stories and photos with us on social media using the hashtag #TangibleSuccess. Let’s inspire each other to see, touch, and celebrate our wonderful journeys! Till next time.
